Preserving Atrocity

Something that was brought up earlier today during quite an enlightening conversation is the continued existence of Nazi concentration camps in Europe.
The Holocaust has always been quite a touchy subject since it ended it 1945 following the Allied invasion of Germany, and with good reason; over 6 million people (mainly people of Jewish ethnicity) died in those Nazi concentration camps (for anyone who may have put themselves in enough solitude to be unaware of those occurrences), so it's both strange to imagine, as well as seemingly necessary to know that concentration camps such as Auschwitz are being maintained, rather reluctantly, by the charitable donations of the UNESCO World Heritage foundation, as well as both the current German and Polish governments.
Auschwitz, due to the reluctance of the world to permit the continued existence of a place so horrid, is slowly yet surely falling apart.

I believe that camps such as Auschwitz, not just Nazi German concentration camps, but any concentration camps (which includes Pol Pot's Cambodian concentration camps) should be preserved as reminders of what humans are capable of doing to one another if power and greed get enough of a grasp on them.
Places like Auschwitz should remain in existence as to show the world what the German people so willingly permitted within their own borders due to fear and a futile sense of loyalty and patriotism as so the same can never occur again.

People seem to get so wrapped up in their ideologies that they forget what it is to be human, and that seems to happen so often many consider it the norm.
I hardly think that a radical group of white, power-hungry Aryan supremacists seizing control of a democratic government only to point it in the direction of the obviously evil national socialist ideals is acceptable, let alone normal, and I hardly think that governments that begin to single out certain people for no obvious reason, only to ship them off to camps and exploit them to death is acceptable or normal either.

I respect ideologies, but people really need to learn when to abandon them for the sake of human kind.

Sudden Sainthood

Something very conspicuous and strange that I noticed following the death of Michael Jackson is the strange fact that prior to his death, he was mocked and made fun of for obvious reasons; allegations had been made against him that he had molested a few children, and following a high-profile court appearance, the allegations were laid down due to the obvious fact that he payed off those who had charged him of the offence in the first place.
Now, due to the fact that he's dead, all of a sudden he's an international saint, and everyone seems to want everyone else to forget what bad things he may have done over the course of his life, as twisted, sick, ignorant, and inappropriate as they were.
I do agree that he should be treated with respect for every good thing he accomplished during his time on Earth, but the bad things shouldn't go ignored.

What about every other decent person that lost their lives that same day? Why does no legion of fans and followers sit out in front of the hospitals they're being held at and mourn there passing? Why do you need to earn something of that nature by making repetitive, droning music?
Sure, I respect what that music lead to, and what that music meant to certain people, and in essence I guess I respect that music, but I don't enjoy it even in the slightest.

So, Michael Jackson, I'm sorry that you're dead, and I'm sad... not because you're dead, but because you never gave us a chance to discover the truth about whether you molested those children or not. If you did, then you should have stood up and taken responsibility. If not, you should have just gone through with the court proceedings and proven that you were indeed innocent.
Now, you've died and left us in the dark, and due to this, many people will love you for years to come, many people will remember you, but many people will wonder about the truth, and will judge on either one side of that unknown truth or the other, and as such, you will remain the butt of many jokes of the future, and you will remain an icon of celebrity child molestation.
Sorry, but you probably should have considered those consequences at the right time; now you're gone forever.

Michael Jackson is Dead

Yes, I couldn't believe it either the first time I heard it.
I was never a fan of Michael Jackson, but like many others in my generation, as well as many others from prior generations, he was someone who, whether you liked him or not, was always there, someone who changed the world.
I honestly can't think of anyone else who was as famous as him, although I can think of others who were close such as Elvis Presley or Barrack Obama.
A couple of other celebrities died yesterday as well; Farrah Fawcett and Sky Saxon, both names which I've heard a couple of times before, but have never really meant anything to me.
Michael Jackson never meant anything to me personally, although I was aware of his shaping of an entire generation, as well as his influence on many others, including my own.

Yes, I'll admit, I disliked his style of music, but that doesn't mean I didn't appreciate it, as well as realize how it lead to the creation of some of the genres I have fallen in love with. So, on that note, I would like to send my condolences to the Jackson family and friends, as well as his millions of international fans, and hope that he, as well as Farrah Fawcett and Sky Saxon, rest in peace.

On a completely different subject, I would like to give everyone that may read my blog a quick update on my life; I am now on summer break, and I passed every one of my classes with my lowest mark being a C. Some of these early days of summer break have been a bit boring, yet others have been alot of fun.
I also noticed something strange this morning, although I'm not going to share it with the world. All I'm going to say is that it involves the strange appearance of blood. I'm going to wait it out and see if it resolves itself over the course of a week, and if it doesn't then I'm going to look into seeing a doctor about it. This has occurred once before, and it resolved itself after a day, so I doubt its anything serious. Still, I'm going to be paying attention to it.

For those of you who don't know, the poems I've been posting in bulk lately (excluding The Single Reality and Today) are all poems I wrote about a year ago during the previous summer, and I'm only posting them to my blog now as so they can be shared with anyone who reads my material on a regular basis. Also, I will be returning to my roots soon with intellectual rants about things such as religion and politics, and I'm sorry to anyone who may prefer that content over the content I've been publishing lately.

R.I.P.: Michael Jackson, Farrah Fawcett, Ed McMahon, and Sky Saxon. (Ed McMahon died two days ago, I believe.)
Peace out, blue planet.

The Single Reality

There was once a world,
That did see no death.
It was so pure,
No one dared take a breath.

It was so perfect,
So bright and serene,
It was never depressing,
And it was never once seen.

The obvious truth is,
That it may have been pure,
And it may have been smooth,
Of that, I'm sure,
But nothing existed,
No life,
And no love.

No bullets and rifles,
Or pretty white dove.

No Hitler,
No Stalin,
No pistols,
No pollen.

No Jewish,
Or German,
No you,
And no vermin.

No mean men,
Or murder,
Just the ground,
And a twisted, old girder.

There was also no conflict,
No disagreement or strife.

No good men lay dying,
Yet sadly, no fife.

The truth is,
That as long as mankind exists,
There will always be anger,
And ignorance will always mean bliss.

As long as men walk the Earth,
Men will continue to hate.
At the same time they'll love,
And they'll count on that trait.

"How They Won: Part 4: The End of the Free Era" Teaser Trailer

That's not to say I have, or am going to, be posting the previous parts of the series.

Lost

Lost are the wills of the men to protect,
Lost are the men that once willed them.
Lost is the bonds between one and the other,
Lost is the other that was once to be bond.
Lost is the striving towards one final goal,
Lost is the goal to be strove for.
Lost is the light that led to the end,
Lost is the end that the light once made real.

Freedom

The sun, may it illuminate the day,
With a brightness seen in no other way,
May it show us to the distance we call far,
With no such boundary to bar,
The potential,
Hidden within,
A deep illumination of the dark we call sin,
May it awaken,
Arise,
To burn us a path,
To see,
We are free,
But only if you believe,
And you truly wish it to be.

You are not hidden,
Unlocked, and unbound.
You have the right to the world,
Why call that profound?
Take advantage,
Show no sway,
Stand proud on your ground,
This is yours! This is ours!
The freedom is free,
It consumes everything.
You turn a blind eye,
And in a split second to count,

The freedom is gone,
All lost, dead to be free,
For it ceases to be.

The Darkness

The darkness,
It hides us in shade.
We embrace it,
We are not afraid.

We jump into the abyss,
With a plan to never return.
We see no end,
To the world we concern,
The power!
Flows free from his word,
This is my sheep farm!
And you are my herd.

The sea,
Swallow the word of the master.
Show no mercy,
He is a disaster.

This is the end,
The darkness will cease.
We are all free,
Says the word of the priest.

You live by one rule,
And what rule is that?
Obey the great God,
Or you'll be squashed like a rat.

One war ends, and a new one begins.
This is not our belief!
And we have committed no sins.

Crack! Go the bullets.
Bang! The grenades.

Shut up and fight!
He says as the world falls and fades.

Do you want to live forever?
He asks in a fading old voice.
This is not my war!
This is not my own choice!

Just leave me alone!
I do not want to be seen!
I am hiding from you,
Your plan, I'm not keen.

Then to death with you!
If you will not fight,
You are no good to us,
I know I am right.

So I am better off dead?
Is that what your saying?
I have done nothing wrong,
Why should I be the one paying?

Crack! Goes the bullet,
Thud! Into his head,
The traitor has fallen,
He is now dead.

His question is answered,
And my disillusions now lifted.
He was a deep thinker,
He must have been gifted.

What are we fighting for?
What is our goal?
Is there a benefit,
To the deaths, young and old?

Don't question its meaning,
It is not your concern.

I look at this war,
And in it I've learned,
Obey the great words,
For they were well earned.

The darkness,
It hides us in shade.
We embrace it,
We are not afraid.

Someday, Today, and Forever

It's over,
Time to move on,
The world you once knew,
Is almost all gone.

The way you once saw,
The who you once had,
The one you once held,
His chest, no longer clad.

The heroics are dead,
Lost to a large frey,
The pillars did shake,
On that cold, fateful day.

The lions did roar,
Heard throughout the Savannah,
The Earth began to shake,
Heard from Japan to Montana.

T.S. Elliot's words begin to ring true,
It is not just me,
But also just you:

"This is the way the world ends,
Not with a bang but a whimper."
It is not over yet,
But resolve falls much limper.

If we just all forget about it,
If we all turn away,
We may be safe,
Who knows?
Someday.

Manifest Destiny

Your gone,
Taken from my arms.
Your warm kiss,
And your clever charms.

You are distant,
It seems,
To far to grab hold of,
My eye, it gleams.

I miss you,
My heart burns,
I hurt,
My stomach churns.

You where my light,
At the end of the tunnel,
Now there is but darkness.

I cry as I write,
Thinking of no one but you.

I die as I fight,
The urges, so cruel.

It was just me,
And just you.
Now, I am alone.

I lie,
As I do.
I am not at all alone.

I have beauty, who saved me,
Brains, who bring day.

I have but two single chances,
Two sisters,
One way.

I will never surrender,
I will never give up!
This life is my own,
My blood in a cup,
I regret,
What I've done,
I am deeply ashamed.
I tried to end it,
And then one light came.

It broke through my closed eyes,
And saved my worthless life.

I am still alive,
And am done with the knife.

But I am nothing.

Earth

Sometimes the Earth above us,
Shakes like the quake of the pillars.
Sometimes the Earth below us,
Burns like the molten core of human passion.
Sometimes the Earth around us,
Dissipates like a fog in the bright of noon.
Sometimes the Earth within us,
Yearns to love in more ways then one.
Sometimes the Earth beside us,

Doesn’t share that same Earth.

Virtus Vere

The world,
Full of hope,
Full of hate,
Full of love,
Turns as it does,
Up, down, and thereof.

It has beauty worth saving,
Love worth the infinity,

But it would mean little,
Without you.

You are the world that I see,
The thing that matters most,
You set me free.

If the feelings you feel,
Mirror not how I feel,
I will respect your decision,
And accept all as real.

No arguments,
No fights.
Disagreements,
Not worth it.
We deserve our own freedom,
And I know that you've earned it.

You have become part of me,
And the further we go,
You become half of who I am,

I adore you so.

Today

Today is the first day,
Today is the last,
Today is the future,
And today is the past.

Today is a good day,
Today is so bad,
Today is so distant,
Today is so sad.

Today one has died,
Today one comes alive,
Today one has failed, but my God
How he tried.

Today someone chewed,
Someone spat,
Someone fell.

Today someone is living,
In their own man-made hell.

Today someone laughs,
Someone smiles,
Someone cheers.

Today people relax,
And buy a new round of beers.

Today is the only day,
Of the rest of your life.

Today can be a good day,
Just avoid all that strife.

The First Eight Days of my Life

I was born on June 1st, 1993 in the Vancouver's Children's Hospital, and purely for interests purpose, I'm going to analyze the events that occurred within that very month, starting with: "Large protests erupt against Slobodan Milošević's regime in Belgrade; opposition leader Vuk Drašković and his wife Danica are arrested," which occurred on June 1st, the very day I was born.
I have no idea who this Slobodan Milošević fellow is, and I only have a very faint idea of what and where Belgrade is (I believe it is, or at least was a country in Eastern Europe).
I'm assuming whatever it is that occurred, it occurred in quite a fascist nature with this Slobodan fellow arresting his only (remaining) opposition. I guess it can be expected though, I mean, the 20th century was a century filled to the brink with power hungry war mongers.
Another event that occurred on the same day is: "President of Guatemala Jorge Serrano Elías is forced to flee the country after an attempted self-coup."
I have know idea what a self-coup is, but I'm going to assume it has something to do with some larger conspiracy theory that somehow led to this guy wanting an alternative to himself taking office, or wanted to use him as a puppet as he pulled the strings from behind the scenes (just as Putin does as Prime Minister with President Dmitry Medvedev of the Russian Federation).
It also sounds like this Serrano fellow got what he had coming to him, and was forced to flee. Probably a good riddance.

Another event that occurred (around the time that I was only a few hours old) is: "Burundian presidential election, 1993: The first multiparty elections in Burundi since the country's independence lead to the election of Melchior Ndadaye, leader of the Front for Democracy in Burundi. The next day's legislative election sees his party win with an overwhelming majority."
Well, that's definitely a brighter side to that very complicated day, because it seems that finally democracy did as it was supposed to. I'm not sure how good a president this guy was to the people of Burundi, but at least he was willfully voted in.

By the time I was around 4 days old, this event occurred: "The National Assembly of Venezuela designates Ramón José Velásquez as successor of suspended President Carlos Andrés Pérez."
Well, it's nice to see there was an era with a different president preceding Hugo Chavez, and it's nice to see that I did indeed exist during that time, because God, I'm sick of that self-absorbed, power-hungry, overeating son of a b**ch (Excuse the French).
On a darker note, this Perez fellow was suspended from office, indicating that something bad had to occur to cause his suspension. At least the people had enough guts to suspend him, which is definitely an upside.
On the same day, "24 Pakistani troops in the UN forces are killed in Mogadishu, Somalia."
I do know a slight amount about the whole Somalian deal, as I've seen the movie Black Hawk Down, and I know that at the moment the country has been torn at the seams and that the government no longer has any money to doll out towards infrastructure or community projects, which forces certain citizens to Somalia to start sailing the Seven Seas searching for loot and plunder. No, I'm serious, they're pirates.
"Minnesota v. Dickerson: The United States Supreme Court rules that the seizure of evidence during a pat-down search is unconstitutional." This, as is obvious, occurred on the same day.
It's a strange thing to see in this day and age, where the United States in leaning towards fascism and is obviously wishing to make alot of the constitution obsolete. I'm happy that I wasn't born into any dystopian American world, because God I'd be quite a different person today. I'd probably be alot like one of those Hitler Youth, but it'd probably called Bush Youth or something along those lines. Thankfully, I was born into intellect and democracy.

"Following the Revolutionary Nationalist Movement's victory, Gonzalo Sánchez de Lozada becomes president of Bolivia." This occurred the following day, and I really don't know if there's much I can say about it; I don't know if this guy was in it for power or for the people, and I don't know if the guy he overthrew was such a bad person, so I feel that I don't really have any right to make any judgement on this event. I'll just say a monotonous 'congratulations' to Mr. Lozada, whether he's dead or alive.
On the same day, "Mongolia holds its first direct presidential elections" which, I'm assuming, means that Mongolia finally broke free of someones political control; maybe it was some sort of dictatorship prior to these elections, or maybe it was a puppet of China, Japan, or Russia; but honestly, I don't have a clue. Also, it states that it holds its first direct presidential elections, which indicates that it had presidential elections prior, but they must've been either fixed, or the responsibility of a certain societal class. Who knows? The Internet and the Mongolians do, but the point of this blog isn't for me to do research, it's for me to blindly analyze what occurred during the month I was born.

"In Paris, Christian Didier breaks into the home of René Bousquet, banker and former Vichy France administrator, and shoots him dead." This occurred a couple of days later, around the time I would have been 8 days old. It's definitely interesting to see that World War II was still taking some sort of toll on international events around the time I was born, but I'm honestly unsure as to if this guy deserved death, because as far as I know, Vichy France had nothing to do with the deportation of Jews; the only thing I can recall them being a part of (in order to protect themselves from becoming occupied to a further extent) is German-led offenses and defenses.
Oh well, it's not like this guy will be sorely missed due to the fact that he was once a puppet of Nazi Germany.
"The PKK-declared ceasefire ends in Iraq" is an obvious precursor to the First Gulf War, although I have no idea where it fits in as I know very little about the First Gulf War; what I know comes from things I've been told, as well as the movie Jarhead.
This is on yet another dark note, although we know now that Iraq was quickly kicked out of Kuwait, and that the only serious damage done was to the environment with the burning of Kuwaiti oil fields.

I'll get around to adding events that occurred over the course of the rest of the month in another two (maybe three) parts. Peace out.

History of the Vacith Empire (Final Version)

9275 AD
Saint of the Ancients Chazzius Salerno, a Nomad raised by wolves in the ruins of a city once known as Victoria after being abandoned by his parents, builds a home in the middle of a dense mainland forest on top of the ruins of a former metropolis. He declares this the Salernii Territory.

9282 AD
Salerno begins converting Nomads to his vision of life as it should be, and gives them their own property within the proximity of his own. A small area is cleared of forest to make room for what becomes known as the 'Twelve Salernii Homesteads.'

9286 AD
The populace of the Salernii Territory exceeds 400 former Nomads. Salerno, as the leader of the Territory, officially declares it the 'Village of Salernii.'

9295 AD
The Village of Salernii experiences a major population boom, with the populace increasing from 457, to 6,865. In the wake of this boom, Salerno is married to Kellvi Sados, a former tribeswoman of the Kazokankanus tribe.

9296 AD
The first and only son of Saint Chazzius Salerno is born; Koren Salerno.
Chazzius, three days after his son’s birth, embarks on a three year journey to stake out claim on the area.

9299 AD
Chazzius returns from his 3 year venture and officially declares that he has incorporated many Nomadic tribes in an incredibly expansive area into the area he declares as the 'Extended Salernii Territory.'

9300 AD
Chazzius officially declares the establishment of the Domain of Vacith, called after a name he coined for the mother wolf that raised him.

9335 AD
Saint of the Ancients Chazzius Salerno dies at the age of 80 in his home in the Village of Salernii as the Grand Ruler of the Domain of Vacith. His son, Koren Salerno, takes power.

9337 AD
Grand Ruler Koren Salerno declares the creation of the Vacith Monarchy, effectively declaring himself King Koren Salerno of the Royal Domain of Vacith.

9341 AD
First contact is made with the Kingdom of Baja to the south.

9343 AD
King Koren Salerno marries Naomi Unstun, a Nomad tribeswoman from the far northern side of the Domain.

9345 AD
Koren Salerno's first of three children is born; Princess Leera Salerno.

9347 AD
Koren Salerno's second of three children is born; Prince Jordanell Salerno, now the heir to the Vacith Throne.

9349 AD
Koren Salerno's third of three children is born; Prince Vancenio Salerno, now the second in line to the Throne after his older brother, Jordanell.

9351 AD
At the age of 55, King Koren Salerno embarks upon a diplomatic mission to the Kingdom of Baja with an escort of twelve bodyguards.

9352 AD
King Koren Salerno and his escort enter the gates of the young town and capital of the Kingdom of Baja, Nuevo Angelos. Here, they meet the Grand Ruler of Baja, Sajjio Bazzcur.
Diplomatic channels are established, and a trade agreement reached.

9353 AD
King Koren Salerno returns from his diplomatic venture to the Kingdom of Baja.

9356 AD
Prince Vancenio Salerno, second in line to the Vacith Throne, dies after tumbling off a cliff during a minor expedition to the North with his father at the age of 8.
In light of the disaster, King Koren Salerno renames the Vacith capital, the Village of Salernii, to the Village of Vancenii. Coincidentally at this time, the population of Vancenii reaches 15,867.

9360 AD
At the age of 63, King Koren Salerno declares the Village of Vancenii to be the City of Vancenii, which will undergo extreme architectural renovations, with an addition of a Grand Palace.

9371 AD
With the Vancenii renovations near completion, King Koren Salerno falls terminally ill at the age of 74. Due to Koren's inability to continue ruling, Prince Jordanell is crowned King Jordanell Salerno of the Royal Domain of Vacith at the age of 24.

9373 AD
The Vancenii renovations are completed after 13 years.

9375 AD
Former King Koren Salerno dies after 4 years of terminal illness at the age of 78.

9377 AD
The Kingdom of Baja begins extensive militarization. Over 10,078 men have been enlisted and trained by the end of the year.

9379 AD
The Kingdom of Baja now has 26,753 active military personnel, each armed with either a steel long sword and an iron dagger, or a cedar bow with over 200 oak arrows each.

9381 AD
King Jordanell Salerno is married to Lativa Lockhart at the age of 34.

9382 AD
A Bajanian Emissary arrives from the south, announcing an end to trade between the two Empires.

9383 AD
Rumors of war with the Kingdom of Baja begin to circulate throughout the Vacith Empire.
These rumors are disregarded by King Jordanell who dismisses them as nothing but wild speculation, although, he is curious as to why Baja ended their trade agreement.

9384 AD
King Jordanell dispatches a Royal Emissary to Nuevo Angelos to report on the situation and get answers.
After being stopped and the Vacith/Bajanian border, the Royal Emissary is killed by the Commander of the border patrol.

9385 AD
King Jordanell Salerno and Queen Lativa Lockhart bore their first and only child, Prince Sorrel Salerno.

9386 AD
A large Bajanian army consisting of at least 17,000 men is spotted by a Vacith scout only 7 miles from Vancenii. By the time the scout reaches the Grand Palace to inform the King, the Bajanian army is only 2 miles away.
Upon hearing of the approaching army, King Jordanell quickly entrusts his wife and his older sister, Princess Leera Salerno, with his one and only son, and the only heir to the Vacith Throne. He instructs them to run North, and hide until an emissary comes and informs them that the upcoming confrontation has been properly resolved. They do as they are instructed and slip, unnoticed, into the Vacith back-country.
Finally, the Bajanian Amy reaches the Grand Gates of Vancenii, where the Bajanian Grand Commander Ordel Tagiagos reads out the declaration of war and honorary dismantling of the Vacith Empire.
The citizens of Vancenii, outraged, find anything that may be used as a weapon and stand ready to fight. King Jordanell declares that he and his people shall fight to there last ounce of breath and will.
The Bajanian Army is quick to knock down the gates, and the First Battle of Vancenii ensues.
After three days of brutal fighting, King Jordanell surrenders on behalf of his people. He is executed on the spot at the age of 39, and becomes the first ruler of the Vacith Empire to die of unnatural causes.
The remainder of the citizens of Vancenii create a false story that King Jordanell was never married, and as such, never had a son. It seems to succeed in fooling their new Bajanian overlords.

9390 AD
King Sarillu Kazii, a Bajanian puppet monarch, is installed as the new King of the Bajanian province of Baja Vacith.
Princess Leera Salerno and Queen Lativa Lockhart continue to find refuge in the North with 6 year old Prince Sorrel Salerno, with assistance from Jaxi Kuili, an allied Nomadic tribe.

9392 AD
Under Bajanian control and occupation, Vancenii experiences its first population boom since its population drastically fell from 16,567 to 9,045 following the First Battle of Vancenii.
Resentment among residents of the former Vacith Empire towards their Bajanian conquerors begins to increase with every passing month as Baja's inapplicability to feed and properly take care of Vacith residents continues to become a larger problem.

9395 AD
Queen Lativa Lockhart of the former Royal Domain of Vacith dies from pneumonia at the age of 45, leaving Princess Leera Salerno as the default Queen Leera Salerno of the former Royal Domain of Vacith at the age of 50. Under Vacith law, women are only allowed to rule if the rightful male heir is too young and/or unable to rule. As soon as they are old enough, or become able, the Queen is to step aside and let the new King take his place. 15 is the age at which heirs are allowed to rule.

9398 AD
Prince Sorrel Salerno, the last of heir to the Vacith Throne, begins to make top secret incursions into Baja Vacith to establish inside sources in the area at the age of 14. He also sets up a series of sleeper cells which will violently turn on their Bajanian overlords when the right time comes.

9399 AD
Sorrel Salerno is unceremoniously crowned King Sorrel Salerno of the former Royal Domain of Vacith. His aunt, Queen Leera Salerno, steps aside at the age of 54.
His first act as King is to organize a massive army of 26,654 warriors (comprised of members of different allied Nomadic tribes and citizens of the former Vacith Empire) to seize control of Vacith from the Kingdom of Baja and re-establish the Royal Domain of Vacith.
They begin enveloping areas in which Baja has ceased to occupy due to lack of resources, and covertly begin to make their way south towards Vancenii.

9400 AD
King Sorrel and his army have their first encounter with Bajanian soldiers on the mountainous outskirts of Vancenii, where a small patrol of 34 men is caught entirely by surprise. Each of them are killed, aside from a remaining final four who will be used as bargaining chips once they reach the city walls.
The Second Battle of Vancenii is about to begin.
They make it the rest of the way unchallenged, but not unnoticed. Every Bajanian soldier in the area is quickly called to arms, most of which are quickly foiled from the inside by the sleeper cells, which spark a civilian revolt. As fighting ensues between the residents of Vancenii and the Bajanian soldiers, one sleeper cell makes his way over to the gate and wastes no time in lowering it for Sorrel and his men.
Sorrel and his army charge into the city and purge it of Bajanian soldiers. They are quick to surrender.
In the remainder of the year, Sorrel and his army drive the Bajanian's back into the Kingdom of Baja.
A slight amount of Bajanian native turf is enveloped by Sorrel.

9401 AD
The Treaty of Sanatos Vancenio is signed by Grand Ruler Tazosi Bazzcur of the Kingdom of Baja and King Sorrel Salerno of the Royal Domain of Vacith, effectively ending the Vacith/Bajanian war, and re-establishing the Vacith Empire.

9402 AD
King Sorrel Salerno is declared the greatest King of Vacith (since Saint Chazzius Salerno) at the age of 17.

9417 AD
King Sorrel is married (at the age of 32) to Sahajidos Unidosida, a half Vacith, half Bajanian women who is constantly frowned upon by the Vacith people.

9418 AD
King Sorrel Salerno and Queen Sahajidos Unidosida bore twins; one female, and one male, Princess Sahajidos Salerno and Prince Indassus Salerno.

9442 AD
King Sorrel falls extremely ill at the age of 57. Prince Indassus Salerno temporarily takes power at the age of 24.

9443 AD
After a year of fighting his illness, King Sorrel is declared healthy. Upon attempting to transfer power back to him from his son, Prince Indassus refuses to give up his position of power.
After an hour of arguing, Queen Sahajidos shows up and attempts to calm down her power consumed son. After another hour and a half of arguing, Indassus compulsively stabs his mother. She falls to the ground and begins to cry out of both emotional and physical pain.
Realizing what he's done, but still caught in the heat of the moment, he has no idea what to do when his father quickly punches him in the stomach and tackles him.
Guards hear the commotion from down the hall, and are quick to run and attempt to assist.
Just as the guards are about to enter, Sorrel grabs the knife from his sons hands. Once again, Indassus compulsively yells that he needs help and that his insane father is trying to kill him.
The guards, having no previous knowledge of the situation, quickly grab Sorrel and pin him to the ground. Indassus rushes to his mother, who sputters as to seemingly attempt to say something, but never gains the energy to say it. Queen Sahajidos Unidosida of the Royal Domain of Vacith dies a moment later.
Heart-broken and twisted with the machinations of absolute power, Indassus's grief and guilt transforms into unjustified hatred and anger that's channeled at his father.
He orders his father to be locked in the dungeon for the remainder of his days.
Indassus declares himself King Indassus Salerno of the Royal Domain of Vacith at the age of 25.

9446 AD
Heart-broken, uncared for, forgotten, and betrayed, Sorrel falls ill once again and dies in his dungeon cell at the age of 61.

9447 AD
Strict laws are enforced under Indassus's rule, along with heavy militarization.

9448 AD
Minor territorial gains are made against Nomadic tribes to the east.

9450 AD
A young, ambitious citizen of Vancenii, Toranius Unyill, begins an underground propaganda campaign against Indassus and his regime, calling for a 'toppling of the current Monarchy' due to a corruption of the royal bloodline that he claims stems from Queen Sahajidos half-Bajanian ancestry.

9451 AD
Princess (and former Queen) Leera Salerno is declared the oldest living person on the known world at 106, being the last surviving child of King Koren Salerno and Queen Naomi Unstun. She was born in 9345 AD, and was also King Koren's first child.
She is generally ignored by King Indassus and his regime, although she makes it obvious that she is strongly opposed to Indassus's rule.

9452 AD
Toranius Unyill declares the need for a rebooting of the Monarchy; a fresh start. He names himself as the required successor of King Indassus, and gains a large loyal following of 32,741 people, as compared to the 112,056 active military personnel of the Royal Army of Vacith.
During this declaration, he is nearly killed by Vacith archers, and would have been if it wasn't for a loyal follower of his who dives in the way of the arrow and dies in place of Unyill, who is quick to flee as fast as he can. As he runs, guards attempting to pursue him are stopped and forced to fight with a group of seven armed rebels. Every rebel is killed, with four Royal Vacith soldiers dead.
King Indassus declares martial law (effectively enforcing a curfew and constant frisking of citizens by guards, as well as ceasing anyone from being able to leave Vancenii or the Domain in general).
Unyill escapes Vancenii and hides in the mountain forests of Vacith, just west of Vancenii, with an escort of 25 armed rebels.

9453 AD
Unyill dispatches a rebel emissary to Vancenii, as to officially declare a revolutionary war against King Indassus and his regime. The emissary, already fully aware that he'll probably be killed in retaliation, decides to assist in smuggling roughly several thousand rebel sympathizers out of Vancenii as to assist Unyill in the upcoming war prior to actually announcing the declaration of war to Indassus.
Following the declaration, Indassus chokes the emissary to death.

9454 AD
5,867 Nomad warriors volunteer to join Unyill's rebel force, which now bears the name of 'Vacith's New Monarch Revolutionaries,' commonly known as VNMR or 'Venmar Rebels' among citizens.
This brings the troop count of the VNMR from 12,856 to 18,723.

9455 AD
A Civil Revolt occurs in Vancenii and throughout the Vacith Empire, causing a splitting of loyalties and forces; roughly two thousand soldiers from the Royal Vacith Army defect to the VNMR, with civilian populations each differing in loyalties. This leads to the Vancenii Civil Riots, in which 2,430 people are killed. The Vacith Empire is split into two loyalties: The Indassus Loyalists under the command of King Indassus Salerno (simply referred to as 'Loyalists' or 'Greens' (due to traditional Vacith military uniforms) to the VNMR), and the Venmar Rebels under the command of self-declared King Toranius Unyill.
The First Vacith Civil War begins.

9456 AD
After a year of violence, but no direct military action aside from assassinations and attempted assassinations by both factions, Unyill smuggles his soldiers into the underground labyrinth of the Vancenii sewers as to pre-emptivley capture Vancenii and end the Civil War almost as soon as it's begun.
Quickly bursting from every opening available within the sewers and onto the city streets, the Venmar Rebels begin battling Loyalist soldiers, as well as butchering civilians loyal to Indassus.
During this battle, later known as the Third Battle of Vancenii, three months of brutal fighting and futile stalemates causes severe damage to the city's sophisticated architecture, as well as mass casualties on both sides. An estimated 14,600 people are killed during the fighting.
Finally, after routing around the near-impenetrable line of Loyalist soldiers and launching a surprise attack from behind, the Loyalist defenses begin to crumble and a clear path is opened to the Grand Palace.
After another two days of fighting as to ensure they've created a safe opening to the Palace, the Venmar Rebels knock down the Palace gates and enter the halls where a skirmish with Palace guards ensues. Finally, after seven hours of brutal skirmishes in the Palace, they reach the Throne Room only to discover that King Indassus has escaped somehow with a compliment of roughly 300 guards.
The Rebels secure the palace and massacre the rest of the remaining Loyalist soldiers, as well as Loyalist civilians who refuse to defect to the Venmar Rebels.
The search for Indassus begins.

9458 AD
King Indassus and his 317 guards are found hiding in the Penovar Mountains on the far eastern side of the Royal Domain of Vacith. In the battle that ensues (later known as the Battle of the Central Penovar Mountains) the entire compliment of Loyalist guards are killed, and Indassus stubbornly surrenders.
Indassus is taken back to Vancenii, where he is charged with killing and mistreating members of his own Royal family, corrupting the Royal bloodline, committing murderous atrocities against his own people, and creating unjustified laws as to benefit himself.
For this, he is hung. King Indassus Salerno, the last of the Salerno monarchs, dies at the age of 40.
His body is hung by the hands, and is beaten to an unrecognizable pulp by his own people.

9459 AD
Toranius Unyill is officially and ceremoniously crowned King Toranius Unyill of the Royal Domain of Vacith at the age of 39. As soon as he has becomes King, he begins to have long conversations with Princess Leera Salerno, the oldest living person in the known world at the age of 114, as well as the last surviving member of the Salerno Royal Bloodline (since Princess Sahajidos Salerno was murdered by Venmar soldiers as a Loyalist at the age of 40) as the first child of King Koren Salerno, as to learn the history of the Vacith Empire from someone who was there to experience it all first-hand.

9786 AD
The next two letters inscribed on the back of the artifact are made distinguishable by the artifactual observers, bringing the word to read 'Chevro.'

9787 AD
After further observation, the artifactual observers estimate the age of the artifact; about 8000 years, which would make the artifact older than known history. The observers conclude that it must have belonged to the mysterious generation of the Ancients. What it may have been used for continues to be a mystery.

9790 AD
A young man, Gdoerel Tiniacho, invents an intricate watercraft known as a 'ship.' He says he drew inspiration from an ancient book he discovered during his travels to the Columbun Empire. King Reazzi commissions the building of a prototype.

9813 AD
King Iyadius begins contemplating sending 200 of his father's fleet to explore as far west as possible, to see what may lie across the great ocean of Pacificus Arconius.
He calls upon 15 of the Vacith Empire's greatest thinkers to assist him in planning this grand venture.

9814 AD
King Iyadius's son, Prince Reklev, hears of his fathers plans to send a fleet across Pacificus Arconius, and volunteers to lead the venture as to represent the Vacith Empire in any distant lands that they may discover. King Iyadius accepts, but only on the basis that he is not the first in line to the throne, and as such, doesn't need to remain in the Domain if he wishes to pursue different paths.

9815 AD
A Royal Bajanian Emissary arrives in Vancenii, and, speaking on behalf of the Grand Ruler, offers to provide Reazzi's Fleet of 400 with 256 capable men. King Iyadius accepts the offer.

9816 AD
The 256 Bajanian men who have volunteered to become sailors for Reazzi's fleet arrive in Vancenii. They're trained to become apt sailors, and split into two separate groups of 128; one group will accompany Prince Reklev and his half of Reazzi's fleet in their venture to discover new lands, while the other half will remain with the stationary half of the fleet in Vancenii.

9818 AD
Preparations for what is now known as Reazzi's Grand Venture are complete. They are set to leave port within the next 7 months.

9819 AD
Reazzi's Grand Venture begins. Prince Reklev leaves port with 200 ships and 30,400 men (152 men per ship).
They are also well-armed in case of hostile encounters, and have enough rations to last for over 12 years on the open ocean. In landfall isn't made within 6 years, the fleet is to return to Vancenii.

9823 AD
After four years of sailing, Reklev and his fleet discover a chain of 8 islands, with one containing evidence of ancient settlement. On one of the islands, they make contact with a small tribe calling themselves Oahuantez. They are welcomed warmly, and given enough food to last another year (on top of the remaining 6 years) on the open ocean.

9826 AD
Reklev and his fleet make landfall on a large continent of desert and the occasional lush savannah. During encounters with wild animals, 7 of the 546 members of the landing party are killed. They travel west through the continent for 6 months, and only make contact with 3 Nomadic tribes, one of which they are forced to fight and then flee after a small skirmish that took the lives of another 23 members of the landing party. After 6 months of traveling back, they finally reach the fleet.
Meanwhile, in Vancenii, King Iyadius dies of pneumonia. His son, Tereok, is ceremoniously crowned King Tereok Unyill of the Royal Domain of Vacith at the age of 24.

9827 AD
Prince Reklev orders that the fleet follows the coast of the desert continent south, and continue to follow it as far as possible in any direction it may take.
King Tereok Unyill (age 25) is married to Merri Lorvann (age 26), a native of Vancenii.

9828 AD

9832 AD
After another 2 years of sailing, the continent curves off eastward through a narrow channel.
After another month of sailing, they notice a large strip of land breaking off from an above continent has some sort of signal flare burning. Reklev's fleet sails towards the flare, and make landfall only about a mile from its position. They are greeted by a group of civil-looking people who seem to vaguely know how to speak the same language as Reklev and his fleet crew.
These men welcome them to the Republic of Papio Dominio.

9833 AD
Reklev and his land party of a thousand men reach the ancient city of Roma, the capital of the Republic of Papio Dominio.
They meet the Republic's Grand Head of State, Aldefanso Benedictus.
Meanwhile, in Vancenii, King Tereok leaves to make a personal visit to Nuevo Angelos.

9834 AD
King Tereok reaches Nuevo Angelos and meets with Grand Ruler Herridas Bazzcur regarding the Domain of Texovuma.
Prince Reklev and his men are taught about what a Republic is, as well as taught in-depth knowledge about the world of the Ancients, as well as an age prior that's known as the 'Dawn of the Ancients,' in which the Papio Dominions claim that a great Empire known as the Roman Empire once sprouted from the very mouth of Papio Dominio.
Prince Reklev is absolutely fascinated by the wealth of information presented by the Republic, and inquires as to how the knowledge and sources of knowledge were preserved. He's told that a long family lineage that has lived in Roma for thousands of years personally made it their business to preserve these final fragments of human knowledge.
Prince Reklev inquires as to if he could write out some replicas of the documents and take them back to his land. His inquiry is accepted, and a group of monks begin to write out replicas of 8 separate ancient documents.

9836 AD
The replicas are complete, and Reklev's fleet is provided with enough food to survive another 12 years on the open ocean. After saying their goodbyes, Reklev and his fleet set off the way they came, pass through the narrow channel going west, and begin going southwards towards the bottom of the desert continent.
King Tereok returns from Nuevo Angelos after a 3 year absence.

9844 AD
Reklev and his fleet encounter a very large tropical storm while on the open Pacificus Arconius. 123 ships of the fleet of 200 are lost, including Reklev's. The replicated documents are destroyed underwater, and Reklev is found dead following the storms passing. Alongside Reklev's death, 18,696 men are also lost to the sea. The remaining 77 ships continue on there way towards the Vacith mainland, with nothing left to show of their travels.

9846 AD
75 of the 77 ships that survived the tropical storm finally reach the port of Vancenii, beaten, bruised, and depressed.
King Tereok is told of the fate of his brother and the other 18,696 men, and is also told the fantastical stories of the Republic of Papio Dominio. He rejects all these fantastic stories as rantings of madmen, and has the remaining 11,252 men praised as heroes, and then hung under charges of insanity. Due to the amount of men needed to be killed, it takes 6 months to complete the executions.

9850 AD
A survivor of what's now come to be known as the Adventurer's Purge is discovered by a soldier of the Royal Army of Vacith. He is taken to King Tereok, and just as King Tereok gets in close to observe him, the survivor pulls out a knife and begins to stab Tereok. Tereok topples to the ground and attempts to breath, but instead coughs out blood. The survivor is stabbed through the back by a guard and killed instantly. His body topples to the ground as the guards attempt to assist King Tereok.
King Tereok of the Royal Domain of Vacith dies moments later at the age of 48.
His son, Meaddi, is ceremoniously, yet gloomily, crowned King Meaddi Unyill of the Royal Domain of Vacith at the age of 22.

9868 AD
Adventurers Truth leader Lord Gerryi Hermanos gives his famous 'Reklev died in vain' speech, which gains him over 2000 new followers.
The following month, the leader of the Tereok Loyalists, Lord Draconius Elledcon, gives his famous 'My King would not lie' speech.
King Meaddi, fearing another civil war, forms the 'Council of Peace and Prosperity.' The Council is tasked with maintaining civil order, and suppressing the opposing groups from committing violent acts against one another. In the event that a violent act is carried out, all measures will be taken to punish and silence those responsible, as well as keep the incident out of public knowledge.

9869 AD
A public protest erupts in front of the Grand Palace, instigated by Adventurers Truth. Within minutes, a counter-protest begins right next to the Adventurers Truth protest, instigated by the Tereok Loyalists. King Meaddi, watching from his Throne Room, quickly assembles the Council of Peace and Prosperity, and requests that they come up with a solution to the situation outside, and fast, before it escalates into anything seriously detrimental.
After a 5 minute private conversation, the Council suggests to wait it out, but ready a group of 700 armed soldiers, and if the need arises, get them to quell any violence with any means necessary.
After five hours of protest, a 3-on-3 brawl erupts between opposing belligerents. Quickly, others join, and King Meaddi orders immediate intervention. A military crackdown ensues, and 357 members of Adventurers Truth are killed, as well as 264 members of the Tereok Loyalists. An additional 7 soldiers are also killed in the crackdown.

Adventurers Truth is quick to install a new leader, Gerryi's son, Lord Agaddos Hermanos, who immediately accuses the Tereok Loyalists for his father’s death.
The leader of the Tereok Loyalists, Lord Draconius Elledcon, is quick to deny these accusations, and swears that he and his group had nothing to do with Gerryi Hermanos death.
King Meaddi, fearing that the tensions will escalate, orders that Vancenii be constantly patrolled by armed soldiers of the Royal Army of Vacith.

9876 AD
King Meaddi threatens both Adventurers Truth and the Tereok Loyalists with violent purges. Both deny any involvement in the string of violence and murders in the past 3 years.

9877 AD
Prince Zarchos is injured during an attempted assassination. His bodyguards are quick subdue the assassin, but are careful as to make sure he remains alive for questioning.
After three weeks of violent interrogation, the assassin reveals that he was hired by a member of the Tereok Loyalists. The Tereok Loyalists, already aware of the assassins capture, take to arms and begin random attacks on soldiers patrolling the streets. In response, Adventurers Truth begins to attack Tereok Loyalists on site, causing the guards to begin opposing both belligerents.
Upon hearing of the violent outbreaks, supporters of both belligerents begin campaigns against one another across the Vacith Empire, effectively beginning the Second Vacith Civil War.

9878 AD
The Royal Army of Vacith successfully expels every hostile belligerent of both factions from Vancenii following the Fourth Battle of Vancenii, rounding up and hanging those who support the ideals of either group.

Adventurers Truth surrounds the remnants of the Tereok Loyalists in the Penovar Mountains. An all-out assault is launched (known as the Battle of the Northern Penovar Mountains), and after a month of brutal fighting, the remaining Tereok militia surrender to Adventurers Truth. While Adventurers Truth is preoccupied in the Penovar Mountains, citizens and soldiers in Vancenii loyal to King Lorenus and his predecessor, King Meaddi, organize a successful coup against the Adventurers Truth provisional government. They hang Lord Aggados Hermanos, as well as any remaining Adventurers Truth soldiers and supporters in the city. A month after the coup Adventurers Truth militia arrive at the gates of Vancenii with Tereok Loyalist prisoners, unaware that the city is no longer under their control. Soldiers of the newly reformed Royal Army of Vacith are quick to engage the militia. They show them no mercy, cutting down both Tereok prisoners as well as surrendering Adventurers Truth militia.
The bodies of the dead are burned in large piles, and a Royal Emissary is sent to Nuevo Angelos to inform the King that it's safe to return to Vancenii.

9886 AD
The Royal Emissary arrives in Nuevo Angelos and makes the announcement to King Lorenus, who is quick to prepare everyone to leave. King Lorenus, the Council of Peace and Prosperity, and other members of the Royal Monarchy begin their year-long trek home. After two years of being under siege, San Antony surrenders to Vacith and Bajanian forces. The Holy Domain Chief of Texovuma, Jaxus Geyaddis, is beheaded several hours after the Texovuman capitulation.

9922 AD
Occupational districts are established, with the Bajanian military controlling the area east of San Antony, and the Royal Army of Vacith controlling San Antony and everything to the west of the capital.

9923 AD
Small partisan groups begin to form in occupied Texovuma, forcing both the Bajanian military as well as the Royal Army of Vacith to adopt anti-partisan strategies.

9925 AD
The Royal Army of Vacith begins a campaign of looting from the Texovumans. By years end, each soldier stationed in the area has stolen enough valuables to rival the wealth of the Vacith aristocratic elite.

9926 AD
King Rodiva creates the ‘Texovuman Looting Tax,’ which forces all soldiers of the Royal Army of Vacith who loot from the citizens of occupied Texovuma to pay a tax of 15% of their stolen goods directly to the King.

9947 AD
The emissary returns, announcing that King Rodiva has accepted the Texovuman terms, and has signed the Treaty.
Celebrations break out across the Vacith Empire and the Kingdom of Baja, as well as across the newly reunited Domain of Texovuma. King Rodiva declares a Domain-wide holiday known as VT Day (Victory in Texovuma Day) despite the fact that no real military victory was won.

During her 12 year reign, very little occurred, and she is occasionally referred to as the ‘ruler who did nothing.’

9977 AD
A young aristocrat, Velli Vienallo, improves upon Kalldassus Lorryium’s Doctrine of the Lorryiums by observing that some of the stars Lorryium observed were moving are actually planets which are within perceptive range of the planet, and when the planet moved, it caused the ‘star’ to move out of view.

9980 AD
King Dovida orders that the name of the Tower of Rodiva be changed to the Tower of Saint Chazzius. The population agrees, and the name is officially changed a month later.

9982 AD
A mass-murderer who killed over 12 people in Vancenii is the first person to be executed by firing squad in the entirety of the Vacith Empire.

9985 AD
King Dovida begins a campaign to attempt to find a bloodline connection between the current ruling Royal House of Unyill and the near-ancient Royal House of Salerno, which ended 524 years ago with the death of Princess Leera Salerno following the First Vacith Civil War.

9990 AD
After 5 years of avid searching and attempting to draw connections, King Dovida finally gives up and accepts the fact that the two Royal Families had no family connection to one another.

9991 AD
King Dovida begins to realize that he doesn’t wish to be married, but he does need an heir to continue the lineage. As such, he begins an advertising campaign that is meant to attract ‘women of pure descent.’
After a year of unsuccessful searching, King Dovida comes up with an idea: that he find someone who has known connections to the long-dissipated Royal House of Salerno. He begins a separate advertising campaign that same year.

9992 AD
A woman claiming to have distant connections to the Salerno royal bloodline, Leira Sadelle, steps up to King Dovida. The King orders that she prove these connections within the year.
By the month prior to the end of the year, she has drawn up a complicated chart showing her connection to the Salerno bloodline. King Dovida mates with her, and she becomes noticeably pregnant the following month.

9993 AD
King Dovida falls in love with Leira Sadelle, and asks her hand in marriage two months prior to the birth of their one and only child, Prince Vincent Unyill. They’re married a week prior to Prince Vincent’s birth.
With Vincent’s birth, a family connection, as distant as it may be, has been drawn between the Salerno royal bloodline and the Unyill royal bloodline.

9995 AD
For the love of their child, King Dovida and Queen Leira rename the Grand Gates of Vancenii to Vincent’s Gate. They also contemplate renaming the city, but decide against it as to honor what has occurred in the past.

9997 AD
King Dovida declares that the age that will begin soon will be the ‘Age of the Repurified Bloodline’ for the Vacith Empire.

9999 AD
The Kingdom of Baja and the Royal Domain of Vacith go into brief talks about the possibility of unifying the two Empires. Due to protest from the populations of both Empires, the talks are called off.

10,000 AD
Celebrations are held across both the Kingdom of Baja and the Vacith Empire to ring in the new Age. King Dovida declares that new research will be done to attempt to uncover more information about the mysterious Age of the Ancients. He soon becomes one of the most well-loved Kings that the Vacith Empire has ever had.

10,005 AD
A coup occurs in Nuevo Angelos, and the Royal House of Bazzcur is overthrown, as well as anyone with any family connection to the Royal Bloodline killed. Grand Ruler Hojjioman Diadius declares the formation of the Royal House of Diadius. Due to these events, King Dovida breaks off the once-strong Alliance between the two Empires.

10,007 AD
Tensions begin to build between the Kingdom of Baja and the Royal Domain of Vacith when King Dovida hears that Baja is heavily arming itself. King Dovida begins gearing the Vacith Empire for the possibility of an eventual war.

10,010 AD
King Dovida Unyill of the Royal Domain of Vacith dies under mysterious circumstances in his sleep at the age of 53. Queen Leira commits suicide the following day, and their son, Vincent, is gloomily crowned King Vincent Unyill of the Royal Domain of Vacith at the age of 17.

10,012 AD
King Vincent (age 19), after getting out of a depression he hid for over a year, marries Marria Radevello (age 20), yet another common native of Vancenii.

10,013 AD
King Vincent Unyill and Queen Marria Radevello bore their first and only child, Prince Kazo Unyill, now heir to the Vacith Throne.

The world is meaningless,

there is no God or gods, there are no morals, the universe is not moving inexorably towards any higher purpose.
All meaning is man-made, so make your own, and make it well.
Do not treat life as a way to pass the time until you die.
Do not try to "find yourself", you must make yourself.
Choose what you want to find meaningful and live, create, love, hate, cry, destroy, fight and die for it.
Do not let your life and your values and your actions slip easily into any mold, other that that which you create for yourself, and say with conviction, "This is who I make myself".
Do not give in to hope.
Remember that nothing you do has any significance beyond that with which you imbue it.
Whatever you do, do it for its own sake.
When the universe looks on with indifference, laugh, and shout back, "Fuck You!".
Rembember that to fight meaninglessness is futile, but fight anyway, in spite of and because of its futility.
The world may be empty of meaning, but it is a blank canvas on which to paint meanings of your own.
Live deliberately. You are free.
