Certain calculated amount given to every individual on a monthly basis,
Base
amount: just above amount needed to survive.
Plus amount: used to sustain a
life of comfort, so it is not a struggle to exist.
If part of the Societal
Sustainment Sphere, there is a fair bonus of, perhaps, a grand more for your
direct contribution (work in the 'Societal Sustainment Sphere' typically being work which is less than desirable, and is simply out of necessity. This can range from politics to plumbing, to agriculture and janitorial duties. Any field of work which is deemed as required, yet which no one wishes to do under normal hobbyist conditions, will be added to the sphere).
Everyone becomes professional hobbyists, and pursue
whatever they may wish without being required to work jobs they do not desire
to. This eliminates the requirement for monetary gain when one wishes to lead a certain lifestyle, but does not eliminate ones ability to make money via their professional hobby.
A currency flow between individuals and collectives occurs similar
to today. People may buy and sell goods and services freely amongst one another
with a cap on profits in the form of a 'maximum wage.' Surplus profits made
above this amount will be given to the government as a form of lax taxation. People may hire assistance, with the incentive to employment being a disposable income. A minimum wage, for this reason, will still continue to exist.
For all professions, whether within the SSS or within the employment of hobbyists, the work-week should be no longer than 3 days unless otherwise desired by all parties involved.
